Dance Recipe
Have you been baking, cooking or even EATING!? Turn your kitchen activity into a dance activity.
1. Pick a food to make (the best are recipes that can actually be made from scratch with steps and ingredients)
2. Write out the recipe (simple is better)
3. Replace those simple verbs like "put", "take" and rephrase with any non locomotor or locomotor word. Examples below, you may already have some awesome words in the recipe such as "pour", "stir", "mix" keep those!
4. Plan out movements that coordinate with all locomotor/non locomotor words/action verbs.
5. Practice each movement one after another to create a phrase
6. Perform your dance recipe!
extra-- add music to your dance recipe performance
extra extra-- create a recipe collage with your recipe written and collage with magazine clippings, photos, colored paper with your dance recipe creation!
